Clarence Hammond is a seasoned film executive and producer who serves as President of Film & TV at Arcus Studios, where he leads the company’s mission to champion Asian, Black, and Latin narratives through bold, culturally resonant storytelling. Formerly SVP of Production at Paramount Players, Clarence brings a proven track record of elevating new voices and delivering acclaimed films like On The Come Up, a strength that drives Arcus' original IP and creative vision.

My Story

At Arcus Studios, Clarence Hammond oversees a slate of premium, mainstream content that is both culture-forward and commercially driven, aligning with the studio’s mission to reshape American media through emotionally grounded, transcultural storytelling. He was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Next Gen 2021” list during his time at Paramount, where he was responsible for nearly two dozen films. His work on Hala and Charm City Kings earned back-to-back Sundance premieres, with Charm City Kings receiving a Special Jury Prize. A Duke University graduate with a B.A. in Political Science, Clarence also spent eleven years at Overbrook Entertainment, rising from Writer’s Assistant to producer on multiple award-winning films.
